Where Do I Go?

If I have private insurance?

Call the number on the back of your insurance card to ask about immunization benefits. Customer service representatives can tell you which vaccines are covered and how much they cost.

If your private insurance plan does not cover required immunizations, you may be eligible to receive vaccines that are not covered from your local health department or federally-qualified health center.

As long as your insurance plan covers the required immunizations, even if you have a co-pay, you will not be able to receive those vaccines from the health deprtment or federally-qualified health center. If you cannot afford your co-pay, your primary care physician may be willing to work with you.

If I have Medicaid, CHIP or SSI?

Contact your primary care provider to schedule an appointment. Most immunizations are covered by your plan.
